About Tenormin: Tenormin (Atenolol) is a medicine that is used to alleviate symptoms of chest pains or what is medically referred to as angina pectoris. This medicine may also be prescribed to treat other conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure) and prevention of stage fright or heart attacks. Your physician may prescribe the medicine to you as a solo or combinational treatment for other conditions not listed here.
How to use Tenormin
Tenormin (Atenolol) comes in 100mg strength tablets. Your physician will provide you with instructions on how to take these tablets within the course of your treatment. Never chew, split, crush or dissolve the contents of the tablets. Such actions only hasten the absorption of the active ingredients of the medicine into your body. This affects the effectiveness of the tablets as they have been formulated to release the active ingredients at a slow rate for effective treatment. Unless provided with specific instructions by your physician, you may take the medicine with or without food. Always take a full glass of water whenever you take this medicine.
Tenormin Dosage
