About Pramipex: Pramipex (PramipexoleDihydrochloride) is medicine indicated to patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease. This condition is categorized as a progressive disorder and is characterized by muscle rigidity, shaking, weakness, tremors and this normally develops to complicated speech (talking) and movement (walking). The condition is caused by a lack of adequate levels of a certain chemical known as dopamine that acts as a messenger to the brain. The medicine boosts the action of the small amount of this chemical that may be available in the human body.
How to use Pramipex
Pramipex (PramipexoleDihydrochloride) tablets can be taken without food, but if this leads to nausea, you may take them with a light meal or snacks. Take a full glass of water together with the medicine. If you intend to stop using this medicine, you need to get approval from your physician. They will then inform you on how to taper your dose over a period, say a week as an immediate stop of using this medicine may lead to health complications. Take the tablets at regular intervals depending on the prescription given to you by your physician. Most patients are given a three-times a day dosage and in such instances, take the medicine at intervals of 8 hours.
Pramipex Dosage
Dosage will be prescribed by your physician and will be unique to every patient. A typical starting dosage for adults suffering from mild conditions includes a 0.125mg dose, taken three times each day for as long as the doctor determines, normally between 5-7 days. This dosage may be increased or lowered depending on your response to treatment. The maximum dose is 4.5mg, and this can only be attained with gradual increment.
Pramipex Side Effects
It is possible for patients to develop side effects though they should not be anticipated. As soon as you notice persistence or worsening of the common side effects, notify your physician.
