About Permite: Permite Cream (Permethrin) is a medicine that is prescribed for patients suffering from scabies. The medicine is categorized as an insecticide and is used in paralyzing and killing lice, mites, and their eggs and in the process alleviating scabies infections. The medicine can be prescribed to adults as well as children who are above the age of 2 months. The medication’s procedure of operation involves acting on the nerve cells of pests and arthropods. In the process, it inhibits the channel current of the sodium which is responsible for regulating polarization of the membrane. This delayed polarization effect limits the growth and reproduction of the pests in the human body.

How to use Permite


Do not use Clip-B Cream (Beclomethasone Dipropionate/Clotrimazole) in any other way other than applying it to your skin in the affected area. Your physician will give you instructions on how to use the medicine, comply with them. Also, confirm from the instructions leaflet that comes with the medicine. Start by cleaning your entire body before application then dry it. Take only the instructed amounts of the cream and massage into your skin from your head to your soles. Do not leave out on any part including skin folds and in between your toes. Stay with the medication for 8-14 hours the take a shower to remove the cream. Do not let the cream get into your eyes, mouth, vagina or nose and if it does, flush with plenty of water then seek medical assistance.

Permite Dosage


Children as young as two months old suffering from scabies may be prescribed this medication for their conditions. Your physician may prescribe other medications to ease itchiness which may continue up to the fourth week of your treatment. Within two weeks of taking this medicine, improvements should be evident and if not, inform your doctor who may be forced to look for the termites living in your body then recommend other forms of treatment to be used in combination with this medicine.

Permite Side Effects


Though well tolerated, the use of Permite Cream (Permethrin) may lead to the occurrence of some side effects. The side effects commonly reported include itchiness, stinging, discomfort, redness, and rashes or tingling as well as numbness of the area the cream has been applied. Severe side effects are rarely experienced when using this medicine.
