About Osteofos:

Omez (Omeprazole) is a medication used in treating a variety of disorders affecting the stomach including ulcers, acid reflux, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease, indigestion and other conditions resulting from excessive production of acid in the stomach. In many instances, this drug is prescribed to prevent or treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori, which is a type of bacteria. Omez (Omeprazole) works by hindering the production of acid in the stomach thereby causing relief and healing of the conditions listed above that affect the stomach.

How to use Osteofos


Omez (Omeprazole) comes in two forms, either capsules or as a liquid suspension taken orally. It is advisable that you follow the prescription of the doctor to the latter and avoid altering with the pills or changing the medication without consulting your doctor. For the case of capsules, the patients are advised to take medicine with water the number of times instructed by the physician.

Osteofos Dosage


The dosage of Omez (Omeprazole) prescribed for every patient varies depending on the severity of their condition. The prescribing doctor conducts an examination before giving the prescription. Most patients will be instructed to take the medication once per day, but for those treating Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, their prescription may be 3 times a day. Usually, the medicine is taken about an hour before eating. Patients treating indigestion may be instructed to take the medication once per day for 14 consecutive days. Osteofos Side Effects
