About Lovir:
Lovir (Aciclovir) is an antiviral drug used to treat the symptoms caused by certain viral infections including herpes, shingles also known as herpes zoster, cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus, and the outbreak of genital herpes. In some instances, the drug may be prescribed to prevent the outbreak of genital herpes for the patients already infected with the herpes virus. It belongs to the nucleoside analogues group of medicines and works by hindering the spread of the virus in the body, thereby treating viral symptoms. It should be noted that this drug does not cure the herpes virus and neither will it prevent the virus from infecting other people, despite its ability to control and provide a remedy for its symptoms.
How to use Lovir
The tablets of Lovir (Aciclovir) are consumed orally with plenty of water. Always follow the instructions about dosage given by the prescribing doctor or physician at all times.
