About Claribid: It exists under the brand name- Claribid. The major active ingredient is known as Clarithromycin. It is manufactured by a company known as Pfizer based in India. It occurs as a thin coated film tablets that are measured in 250mg units. It can be used by both men and women.
How to use Claribid
It is used for the treatment of major bacterial infections, stomach ulcers, bronchitis, ear infections, pneumonia and infections of the sinus. It is categorized under macrolide antibiotics. It can be used alongside other drugs to eliminate Helicobacter pylori in patients that are affected by stomach ulcers. As a broad spectrum, it increases antibacterial activity that works against gram-positive microorganisms.
Claribid Dosage
It is advisable to take it orally twice on a daily basis after every 12 hours. The therapy should last only two weeks. In more severe cases, the user can be advised to take the 500mg tablets instead. This will entirely depend on the patient’s response towards the drug. The patient is advised to continue taking the drug as per the instructions until the entire therapy comes to a close.
Claribid Side Effects
It is a common occurrence for patients to exhibit the following contraindications; nausea, dizziness, taste changes, pain on the muscle joints, darkened urine and jaundice. These side effects may present themselves right from the onset. However, towards the end, the patient needs to inform their doctor so that alternative medication can be presented.
Claribid Precautions

Men are advised against fathering children until after six months. This is because the drug may interfere with their hormonal setups. This can lead to the formation of malformed offsprings.
It is not advisable to self-medicate or to manipulate the dosage. The doctor can tell whether it should be increased or not. Any case of hypersensitivity should also not go unreported since it may cause other problems. The patient may feel better within two weeks into the therapy. However, this is not reason enough to discourage them from completing the entire dosage.
Do not take alcohol and other caffeinated drinks during the therapy. This is because they tend to worsen the side effects caused by the drug.
