About Alfacal: Alfacal (Alfacalcidol) is a medicinal drug that is prescribed to patients to alleviate symptoms of osteoporosis. The medicine may also be used for other conditions such osteodystrophy (renal bone disease), neonatal hypocalcaemia, primary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism associated with bone disease, rickets, and osteomalacia. This medicine is a vitamin D product which can also be given as a diet supplement to patients suffering from calcium deficiencies. It is used to improve the metabolism of calcium and increase its amount in the body. Your physician may prescribe this medicine to you for the treatment of other conditions not listed here.

How to use Alfacal


Alfacal (Alfacalcidol) is available as capsules which can be taken by both children and adults over the weight of 20kgs. Your physician will take you through on how to use the medicine, and it is strictly recommended that you follow your physician’s advice.
